Benefit Detail
Death Benefit

In the event of the death of the Life Assured, except for any reasons stated in the Exclusions, Prudential will pay the Death Benefit if at the age time of death, the Life Assured:

  • Under 1 year old: Prudential will pay total premiums paid, without interest
  • From 1 to under 2 years old: Prudential will pay 25% of the sum assured
  • From 2 to under 3 years old: Prudential will pay 50% of the sum assured
  • From 3 to under 4 years old: Prudential will pay 75% of the sum assured
  • From 4 years old: Prudential will pay 100% of the sum assured

The insurance policy will be terminated after the death benefit is approved by Prudential.

Prudential will not pay the Death Benefit if the Life Assured (LA) dies due to any of the following reasons, whether directly or indirectly:

  • The Life Assured commits suicide or self-injury, whether in a normal mental state or insane, within 02 years from the date that the Policyholder pays the premium or the latest Reinstatement Date of this Policy, whichever comes later.

For the increase in the Sum Assured, exclusion due to suicide or self-injury, whether in normal mental state or insane as prescribed in this Article shall apply within 02 years from the effective date of the increase in the Sum Assured or the latest Reinstatement Date of this Policy, whichever comes later; or

  • Due to a criminal act committed by, or the intentional misconduct of, the Policyholder or the Beneficiary against the Life Assured; or 
  • The Life Assured is lawfully executed under a court sentence; or
  • The Life Assured is diagnosed with HIV infection, AIDS or HIV/AIDS-related diseases, except in the case of HIV infection or AIDS as a result of HIV infection while performing duties at the workplace as a health worker or police officer; or;
  • The Life Assured uses any type of narcotic substances, drug, stimulant that violates the law or without a Doctor's prescription.
