Q1. Who can apply?

We welcome anyone (Vietnamese, Vietnamese PR or a foreigner) to apply and it’s the same simple steps. However, you must be physically in Ho Chi Minh City for our trusted UOB Associates to meet you in person to complete the application.

If you are not currently located in Ho Chi Minh City, you can start the application first and arrange an appointment with us within 7 days.

 

Q2. Can I continue my application?

You can continue where you have left off for the application by providing the same mobile number that you have signed up with. A One-Time Password will be sent for verification. If you need step-by-step help, you can also call our support at 1800599921 (Mondays to Fridays, 7am – 7pm, excluding public holidays) who can assist you to continue your application.

 

Q3. Why am I unable to start another application with my mobile number?

Your mobile number has already been used for an application-in-progress. You can resume your application with the same mobile number.

Q4. Can I change my appointment?

We understand that everyone has urgent tasks that might crop up last minute. You must update your assigned UOB Associate to change your appointment. Please notify us in advance. To change your appointment, contact us at 1800599921 (Mondays to Fridays, 7am – 7pm, excluding public holidays).

 

Q5. Who can I call if I do not see the UOB Associate at the time of appointment?

Our trusted UOB Associate might be stuck in traffic. Call our support at 1800599921 (Mondays to Fridays, 7am – 7pm, excluding public holidays) to find out where our trusted UOB Associate is at.

 

Q6. What documents do I need to bring for my appointment?

You will need to show your original Vietnamese identification card and proof of address (e.g. registry forms or utility bills) to our associate during the appointment. Additionally, for residents or foreigners, you will need to bring along your work permit or temporary resident document.

 

Q7. Should I hand-over my deposits to the UOB Associate?

Our trusted associate will never ask you for your deposits in-person. Kick start your account by transferring money digitally through UOB Mighty, or at a UOB or Network branch to fund your account.

Q8. Who can Bank with UOB Mighty?

All UOB customers holding at least one of the following accounts can bank with UOB Mighty:

  1. Current Account(s)
  2. Fixed or Unfixed Deposits
  3. Vehicle Loan

Your device must also be able to run UOB Mighty. UOB Mighty runs on any iOS device with iOS8.0 or higher or an Android device running 4.3 or higher.

 

Q9. Are there any charges to bank with UOB Mighty?

No. There are no additional charges when using UOB Mighty to bank. The use of certain banking services including but not limited to making a cash transfer to other banks or a foreign currency transfer will incur existing fees.
