General
From the Transfer Date, how do I make future payments for my existing Citi life insurance policy(ies)?
+
You can choose the most convenient payment channel from the multiple payment options:
  • Effect payment directly through the Insurance company's website or mobile application;
  • Effect payment through Bank transfer, Cash deposit or Auto Direct debit via the Insurance company's partner banks;
  • Use credit card or cash to make payment to the Insurance company's agencies.

Note: The standing instruction of auto payment on your accounts/ credit cards with Citi will continue.
If the insurance policy(ies) purchased through Citi has a standing order for auto-debit as the payment method, will there be any change to this?
+
There is no immediate change in your insurance premium payment with the transfer.
Are there any changes for Citi’s customers with insurance policy(ies) purchased through Citi before the Transfer Date?
+
There are no changes for our customers. Insurance is regulated by the Ministry of Finance (MOF). Our insurance partner operators remain committed in fulfilling their responsibility to protect our existing and new customers.

The terms of the policy(ies) will remain, with any references to Citi becoming appliicable references to UOB.
Who can I contact for any policy/ certificate queries, claims, complaints or servicing issues?
+
You can visit the following branches for issues or queries on AIA insurance:

UOB Sunwah Branch:
Sun Wah Tower, 115 Nguyen Hue Boulevard, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.

UOB Horison Branch:
40 Cat Linh Street, Cat Linh Ward, Dong Da District, Hanoi.

You may also approach AIA operators for any policy/ certificate servicing.
Do I need to terminate/ surrender my insurance policy?
+
Buying an insurance policy is a long-term commitment. You should be aware that an early termination or surrender of the policy involves high costs and the surrender value may be less than the total premium paid. Insurance is regulated by Ministry of Finance (MOF), and insurance companies remain committed in fulfilling their responsibility to the existing customers. It is advisable for you to preserve the existing benefits and value of the respective insurance policy. If you terminate now, it may be difficult or more expensive for you to get a similar insurance coverage at a later stage when you need it.
Does this integration change my insurance policy number?
+
There is no change to your policy number as the insurance policy is the contract between you and the Insurance company.
Will I continue to get insurance coverage for the policies purchased through Citi?
+
There is no change in the existing policies that you have purchased through Citi and you will continue to enjoy the coverage as long as the premium is paid to date.
Will there be any changes to my insurance policy/ certificate and benefits?
+
There is no change to your policy/ certificate and the benefits as set out in the Policy/Certificate Contract as a result of this integration.

Customers can be assured that all contractual obligation will continue to be honoured by the insurer.
Will I be able to purchase insurance product which Citi previously distributed?
+
Insurance products previously distributed by Citi may not be available from the Transfer Date.
