Capture the recovering flow of in-country and cross- border travel
According to the forecast of the International Air Transport Association (IATA), by the end of 2022, Vietnam's domestic aviation market has fully recovered, with high growth compared to the period of 2019. The international market is growing, gradually recovered and is forecast to reach 2019 levels by the end of 2023.
It is forecasted that the total air transport market of Vietnam in 2023 will reach approximately 80 million passengers, an increase of 45.4% respectively compared to 2022 and an increase of approximately 1% compared to the same period before the Covid-19 epidemic.
Also in the first two months of 2023, the passenger transport of Vietnamese airlines reached 9.8 million passengers. Thus, an increase of 91.9% over the same period in 2022, of which domestic tourists are 7.4 million, an increase of 48.0% over the same period in 2022; International visitors were 2.4 million, up 2,333.4% over the same period in 2022.
Summer is coming, it is forecasted that the demand for international travel will continue to increase in this peak season since the travel aboard has just been recovered few months after the pandemic.
