UOBV Privilege Banking collaborates with Singapore Institute of Management

    ​UOB Vietnam’s (UOBV) Privilege Banking signed the partnership collaboration with Singapore Institute of Management (SIM GE) as its first partner in the education concierge. The signing ceremony was held at UOBV’s Privilege Banking Lounge at UOBV on 19 January 2019.
     

    UOB Vietnam’s (UOBV) Privilege Banking signed a collaboration deal with Singapore Institute of Management (SIM GE) on 19 January 2019. Through this collaboration, UOBV aims to provide a seamless experience for customers looking to register their children for education at SIM GE campus in Singapore

     

    According to the Vietnam Business Forum, Vietnamese parents choose USA, Australia and Singapore as the top three destinations for their children to pursue higher education. There are currently more than 11,000 Vietnamese students who are studying in Singapore.

    Through this collaboration, UOBV seeks to provide a seamless experience for Vietnamese parents looking to register their children for education at SIM GE campus in Singapore. UOBV Privilege Banking and SIM GE will also work together to provide on-the-ground services such as campus tours in Singapore.

    Once enrolled, UOBV will further assist the students to open a banking account at the UOB Clementi branch in Singapore and provide opportunities for them to apply for internship programmes with UOB in Vietnam and Singapore and UOB Management Associate Programme.

    According to Mr Fred Lim, Country Head - Retail Banking, UOBV, this collaboration demonstrates UOB Group’s continued commitment in developing initiatives to meet the needs of the Vietnamese market.

    The signing ceremony was followed by a seminar to promote Singapore’s robust education system. The seminar titled “Realising your Global Aspirations Through Quality Education” introduced Singapore as the preferred location for students seeking to study overseas.
