UOB Commercial Banking CSR Day 2025 – Supporting Children and Communities
On 27 August 2025, colleagues from UOB Vietnam’s Commercial Banking division (CMB) gathered at Maison Chance in Ho Chi Minh City for a meaningful Mid-Autumn celebration with nearly 200 children and community members.

A day of joy and connection
The afternoon began with warm greetings and performances by Maison Chance’s children, followed by a lively Mid-Autumn quiz and interactive games. Colleagues and children then formed mixed teams to join the highlight of the day, a Lantern Decorating Contest.
Working side by side, volunteers and children designed colorful lanterns, presenting their creations with creativity and teamwork. The celebration continued with a vibrant lion dance, adding to the festive spirit of the day.

A gesture of support
As part of the day’s activities, Mr. Lim Dyi Chang, Country Head of Commercial Banking, UOB Vietnam, presented a donation of VND 30 million to Ms. Tran Thi Thu Ly, Representative of Maison Chance.

The contribution, raised by colleagues from CMB Vietnam, will support the Meals for Underprivileged Children initiative, providing nutritious meals for disadvantaged students in the 2025–2026 school year. The support is intended to offer children greater comfort and encouragement in their daily learning journey.
Beyond the celebration
Aligned with UOB Vietnam’s CSR pillars, this CMB CSR Day fostered meaningful connections with the communities we serve. The initiative underscored how volunteerism and philanthropy can come together to create sustainable social good.

For colleagues, it was also a moment to come together as one team, joining hands to make a positive difference in the communities where we live and work.
Keep the Good Going
The day closed with smiles, shared stories, and a reminder that giving is part of the culture we nurture together. With #KeepTheGoodGoing, colleagues from UOB Commercial Banking reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the communities they serve and contributing to inclusive growth.
About Maison Chance
Maison Chance was founded in 1993 by Swiss artist Aline Rebeaud, known in Vietnam as “Tim”. What began as a small shelter in Ho Chi Minh City for orphans, street children, and people with disabilities has since grown into a community providing housing, healthcare, education, and vocational training – all free of charge.
Today, Maison Chance operates facilities including the “Take Wing” vocational centre and the “Village Chance” school, enabling members to study, acquire skills, and integrate into society. Over three decades, the organisation has supported thousands of disadvantaged individuals, many of whom have gone on to live independently and return to contribute to Maison Chance’s mission of empowerment and inclusion.
